What's Happening Now
Beginning Monday, March 1st, office hours for both Montabella Jr/Sr High and Montabella Elementary will be 7:30-3:30. If you need to reach one of the buildings after 3:30, please call Central Office at (989) 427-5148.
Attendance Notification Changes: We have implemented some new changes for parents to contact the school regarding absences. If you call the main school lines, Jr/Sr High at 427-5175, or the elementary at 561-2345, you will be connected to the answering system. From there you can select the school that you need or be connected to the attendance line to leave a message regarding your child's attendance. Another new feature for reporting absences will be to e-mail the school at attendance@montabella.com. We hope these changes will make it easier for you to contact the school. Please remember that we need a note or call on the day following the absences.
Each spring sport will be holding their own parent meeting this year. Times and dates are as follows: Baseball-Tuesday, March 9th at 6pm in the elementary gym; Golf-Monday, March 15th after 1st practice at 5pm at the Phenix in Edmore; Softball-Sunday, March 7th at 6pm in high school cafeteria (flyer in the office); Track-Thurday, March 11th at 7pm in elementary gym (flyer in the office). Athletes and parents are encouraged to attend to fill out paperwork that must be complete before practices begin. Anyone interested in playing a spring sport must have a physical on file before they can practice. Practices for all sports will begin on Monday, March 15th.
Registration for summer youth softball and baseball will take place at the School Carnival on March 27th from 5pm-8pm. Registration forms can also be printed off and mailed in. Registration deadline is April 1, 2010 -- no late registrations accepted.
In an effort to save money, we are looking for more efficient, less costly ways to communicate with parents. If you are willing to receive communications through e-mail rather than through the US Postal Service, please email goinggreen@montabella.com from the email address you would like information to be sent. Kindergarten Round-Up will take place on March 31st and April 1st. We will begin taking reservations for Kindergarten Round-Up on March 1st.
MCC is offering several noncredit courses for children and teens.
